British fashion designer and lifelong vegetarian, Stella McCartney is one of a very few in her industry who refuses to use either leather or fur in any of her designs. "Things are always changing in the fashion industry. You have peaks and you have lows in terms of the amount of eco-conscious materials that are around. And then you have moments, unfortunately, where the consumer and the industry forget about those things. that's why it's important to always keep that information out there, to make the association between an animal and a purse, and to ask the question, "Is it really necessary to have all that death in between?"
